Supply Chain Analyst (Solventum)

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless alignment of supply planning and production scheduling to meet business objectives. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across departments to support optimal inventory levels, production timelines, and supply chain efficiency. This role will give you the opportunity to apply your analytical skills, production scheduling expertise, and project management abilities to drive impactful results.

  • Production Scheduling and Procurement: Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned product lines, including raw materials, packaging, semi‑finished, and finished goods. Create procurement plans for required materials (RMs) and manage purchase orders with suppliers to ensure a steady supply.
  • Supply and Demand Alignment: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing and business planning, to understand customer demand and forecast requirements. Ensure alignment of production schedules with business objectives by optimizing inventory levels, lead times, and service level goals.
  • Inventory Management: Set and manage inventory targets to balance service levels with cost‑efficiency. Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet fluctuating business needs while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Planning Analysis and Decision Support: Conduct in‑depth planning analyses to support decision‑making processes and deliver clear insights for supply chain optimization. Publish and present metrics related to service levels, inventory performance, and capacity to senior management.
  • Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement Projects: Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma projects to continuously improve supply chain planning and production scheduling processes. Identify and drive initiatives that streamline operations, improve response times, and reduce inventory investment.
  • Capacity Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze and report on capacity requirements across the supply chain, ensuring production capabilities meet current and anticipated demands. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve capacity constraints as they arise.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of one year experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Materials, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or procurement in a private, public, government, or military environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis. Experience with SAP, IMES, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and planning tools to optimize supply chain operations and informational flow.
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification is preferred, with a willingness to pursue certification if not already attained.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with hands‑on experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or procurement.
