PositionSummary
The Inland Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing procurement operations, supplier management, strategic sourcing initiatives, and contract administration across all business departments at GLOVIS America. This role drives procurement excellence through supplier performance management, cost‑saving initiatives, RFx management, contract negotiations, market analysis, and support of new business implementation activities.
The Manager serves as a strategic business partner by developing sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that align with company goals and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree required
- 5–8 years of direct experience in Supplier Management, Logistics, Procurement, or Project Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management systems
- Working knowledge of logistics operations, transportation services, and carrier management
- Experience managing contracts, procurement processes, and supplier relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- 6–9 years of direct experience in Supplier Management, Logistics, Procurement, or Project Management
- Strong negotiation, procurement, and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and drive organizational results
- Lead procurement activities and provide oversight for supplier management across business departments
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for domestic logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Manage RFx processes, ensuring documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and distributed to qualified vendors within established timelines
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing structures, and service offerings to identify best‑fit partners
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and cost‑reduction initiatives that support organizational objectives
- Review, draft, amend, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts and service agreements
- Ensure contracts align with company objectives, pricing requirements, service expectations, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams throughout the contract lifecycle
- Maintain accurate contract records, insurance documentation, renewal schedules, and compliance tracking
- Build and maintain productive, long‑term relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers
- Monitor supplier performance through KPI reviews, operational feedback, and performance scorecards
- Develop corrective action plans for underperforming suppliers and monitor progress toward improvement goals
- Lead or support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with suppliers to evaluate performance and identify opportunities
