Job Title: Senior Trade Compliance Classification Analyst

Duration : 12+ Months ( possibility of extension & conversion )

Pay-range: $50 - 56/hr.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Trade Compliance Analyst to support daily import and export compliance activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in international trade regulations, customs compliance, logistics, and supply chain operations, with a strong focus on accuracy and regulatory adherence. This role is responsible for ensuring import and export transactions comply with applicable trade laws by performing product classifications, preparing regulatory filings, conducting restricted party screening, maintaining trade data, and resolving customs-related issues.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Perform HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) and ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) classifications for products and technology using technical specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare and submit required import and export regulatory filings, including AES/EEI filings
    , ensuring compliance with applicable customs and trade regulations.
  • Conduct Restricted Party Screening (RPS) and sanctions screening of customers, suppliers, and business partners against global government watchlists.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs holds, shipment delays, and compliance-related issues.
  • Review, verify, and maintain import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and shipping records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate trade master data, including product classifications, country of origin, valuation, and part number information within ERP and internal systems.
  • Ensure import and export records are organized, complete, and audit-ready in accordance with regulatory record retention requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to support compliant international trade operations.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and assist with implementing compliance procedures and process improvements.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits by providing required documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Identify and resolve trade compliance issues proactively to minimize shipment delays and business disruptions.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Trade Compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience in import/export compliance, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and international trade compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, ECCN classification, export controls, and customs documentation.
  • Experience preparing or supporting regulatory filings such as AES/EEI.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in trade documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
