Interim Accounting Manager

Role Overview

The Accounting Manager consultant will lead the firm’s financial operations, oversee HR-related processes, and serve as a client-facing partner to internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Oversee day?to?day accounting operations in partnership with outsourced accounting team
• Manage month?end close, financial reporting, and cash flow oversight
• Review and approve billing, project accounting, and client invoicing
• Address billing questions from internal teams and clients
• Support implementation of new financial and project management software
• Ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial processes

• Lead onboarding and offboarding for all employees (19 total and growing)
• Run payroll and maintain payroll records
• Support hiring processes and coordinate with leadership on staffing needs
• Maintain employee files and ensure HR compliance

• Experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting/Finance Manager
• Strong HR operations experience (onboarding, offboarding, payroll)
• Ability to be client?facing and communicate clearly with internal and external partners
• Experience in architecture, engineering, design, or project?based professional services
• Hands?on, proactive, and eager to grow with the team
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (3–4 days onsite)

• CPA
• Experience writing or reviewing proposals
• Strong understanding of project billing structures
