The Project Manager will manage various aspects and phases of a project life cycle, ensuring adherence to enterprise, local project and program management standards, frameworks, and processes. This position is remote with designated project location and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is expected to travel a minimum of 50% and reports to the Senior Director of Construction or another management personnel designated by the CEO.
EssentialJob Functions & Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for all stages of multi million dollar+ construction projects
- Develop, manage and maintain project schedules and budgets throughout project lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget
- Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Cost reporting – prepare reports regarding the current status of a project to show estimated costs, revenues, and project timeline; responsible for project reporting to both internal and external parties
- Maintain scopes of work, standards and quotes from suppliers in accordance with on time, on budget approach
- Contract management and negotiations experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as needed
- Identify and project costs related to time, materials, and labor including change orders, lump sums and T&M
- Perform post-project cost analysis and reporting
- Perform other duties and special projects
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Regular attendance in accordance with the company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Engineering Management, or another related field
- 5+ years of professional experience managing the performance of medium-to-large construction projects; renewable energy projects preferred
- Experience utilizing PM tools, organization and management of critical path and compliance documentation, and other deliverables
- Experience leading and influencing people and cross-functional teams
- Ability to read, analyze and understand design documents, blueprints, and Microsoft Project Schedules as well as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task, track and follow-up on action items and task progress, remove, mitigate and/or facilitate resolution to roadblocks
- Ability to work independently, be proactive and take initiative
- Ability to review, interpret and negotiate contracts
- Ability to manage budgets, expenditures and contracting processes
- Stationary position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
- Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
- Carry weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects up to 10 pounds
- Hearing and speech: frequently communicates with ability to hear and talk regularly
- Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, documents, and objects
- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends stairs to reach office floors
- Travel: minimum 50% or as needed
- Regular professional, office business setting
- Noise levels range from low to moderate in the office; moderate to high on construction sites
- Role may transition to onsite or hybrid arrangement per Office Mobilization Plan (OMP) policy as determined by business needs
