The Warehouse Distribution & Logistics (WDL) Market Lead role for Industrial Buildings (IB) is a member of the Industrial Buildings leadership team and is responsible for business development, growth and execution of the WDL market within the Industrial Buildings sector. You will be directing the management of major programs/projects within WDL leading pursuits, project delivery and client management. You will work closely with the Industrial Sector Leader and other market leads to develop business development strategies in support of new and existing client relationships while developing effective program management with the goal of providing stellar project execution and sustainable growth.

You will serve as a seller-doer by generating work, creating long-term relationships, and delivering long-term value to clients. It is expected that 85% of your time will be in direct support of projects and pursuits averaging 40% in direct billable time and 60% towards pursuits and sector administration tasks.

The Warehouse Distribution & Logistics (WDL) Market Lead role is also responsible for engaging across the Industrial Buildings practice, its projects and pursuits, and the industry at large as a brand ambassador. In addition, we are looking for a leader to inspire our team, represent design excellence, and reinforce the global brand of Stantec. • Serve as the Warehouse Distribution & Logistics (WDL) Market Lead for multiple client programs serving as the executive sponsor overseeing the client relationship and project delivery.
• Oversee the delivery of major WDL projects over $3M in fee, with a focus on knowledge sharing to unite delivery and standards across the program.
• Take ownership and maintain full accountability for project performance. Key performance measures would include 57% GM or higher as the baseline for financial success.
• Collaborate with project teams on talent management over the course of the project, ensuring project teams are appropriately staffed, teams are supported and have appropriate capacity and resources, and key roles have succession plans.
• Responsible for client satisfaction and issue resolution (follows up and takes corrective action when needed).
• Inspire the project leadership team of Principals-in-Charge and Project Managers and ensure the project is on track. Communicating vision and scope of project with clearly communicating client’s goals, constraints, and priorities to the project team.
• Make decisions on major project events, taking into consideration the impact the final direction has on the project goals and all disciplines within a project.
• Provide senior advisory direction to project managers to promote consistency and collaboration across the WDL market and IB sector.
• Directs contract negotiations with clients and consultants and reviews and approves fee proposals as prepared by the Project Manager.
• Serve as the knowledge center for the client, establishing pursuit and delivery approaches that are effective and repeatable such as consistent pricing proposals and proposal templates.

• Responsible for establishing, tracking and accelerating growth targets for programs under the WDL portfolio in line with annual growth targets.
• Contribute to WDL strategy and growth goals, helping to attract top tier clients and achieve top line growth for WDL and the Industrial sector.
