Essential
Responsibilities and Duties:
Executive Leadership Provide visionary leadership that promotes innovation, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Develop and execute strategic business plans designed to maximize profitability, enhance guest satisfaction, and support long-term organizational sustainability.
Lead the executive leadership team in establishing measurable goals, objectives, and performance standards.
Foster a culture built upon integrity, respect, collaboration, accountability, and exceptional guest service.
Serve as the senior operational advisor to TEDA Officers regarding casino and resort performance, emerging opportunities, operational risks, and strategic initiatives.
Strategic Planning Develop comprehensive short-term and long-range strategic plans supporting continued growth and financial success.
Evaluate emerging gaming technologies, hospitality trends, entertainment opportunities, and market conditions to maintain competitive positioning.
Identify opportunities for expansion, capital improvements, operational efficiencies, and new revenue generation.
Lead organizational change initiatives while minimizing disruption to operations.
Financial Management Develop, administer, and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
Ensure sound financial stewardship through effective fiscal management and internal controls.
Monitor financial performance using key operational metrics and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Oversee revenue optimization across gaming, hotel, food and beverage, retail, entertainment, and ancillary business operations.
Present financial results, forecasts, and operational analyses to TEDA Officers and governing bodies.
Operational Leadership Provide executive oversight for all departments, including but not limited to:
Gaming Operations Hotel Operations Food & Beverage Marketing Public Safety/Security Human Resources Finance Information Technology Facilities & Maintenance Environmental Services Surveillance Cage Operations Table Games Slots Entertainment Retail Operations Ensure departments operate collaboratively while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, efficiency, and accountability.
Guest Experience Champion a culture of exceptional guest service throughout the property.
Establish service standards that exceed guest expectations.
Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement service improvements.
Personally represent the organization during significant guest relations matters when appropriate.
Human Capital Leadership Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing executive leaders.
Establish succession planning strategies for key leadership positions.
Promote employee engagement through leadership development and recognition initiatives.
Ensure fair, consistent application of organizational policies.
Partner with Human Resources to support workforce planning, organizational development, compensation strategies, and employee relations.
Regulatory Compliance Ensure full compliance with:
Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA)
National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC)
Tribal-State Compact Tribal Gaming Ordinances Internal Controls Federal, State, and Tribal regulations
Maintain productive working relationships with regulatory agencies and auditors.
Risk Management & Security Promote a culture emphasizing safety, security, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure effective internal controls protecting organizational assets.
Oversee enterprise risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
Community & Tribal Relations Represent Black Oak Casino Resort with professionalism throughout Tribal, governmental, business, and community organizations.
Maintain productive relationships with Tribal leadership while supporting the economic and cultural priorities of the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians.
Participate in community engagement activities that strengthen the organization’s reputation.
Organizational Excellence Develop organizational policies that improve efficiency and accountability.
Encourage innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize operational metrics and performance dashboards to drive informed decision-making.
Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by TEDA Officers.
Essential
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required.
Master’s degree (MBA, MPA, or similar) is preferred.
Experience Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience within casino gaming, hospitality, or integrated resort operations.
Tribal gaming experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading large, complex organizations with multiple operational divisions.
