Alliance Resource Group has been retained by a large, established consumer products company in Central Orange County to lead a confidential search for a Senior Director of Accounting & Finance Shared Services
.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who has successfully led treasury, working capital, and finance operations in a complex organization. The mandate is broad: improve cash flow and liquidity, strengthen shared services, modernize processes, leverage automation, and build a high-performing team.
The Senior Director will have responsibility across Treasury, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and related finance operations
, while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, IT, and executive leadership.
The role will lead a team of approximately 8–12 professionals and will have meaningful visibility across the organization.
Key areas of responsibility include:- Lead enterprise treasury and liquidity management, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, cash positioning, liquidity planning, financial risk management, and capital deployment.
- Develop and execute working capital strategies focused on improving the cash conversion cycle, reducing DSO, optimizing DPO, and creating meaningful KPIs and dashboards.
- Lead AR and order-to-cash operations, including billing, collections, credit management, dispute resolution, and aging reduction.
- Oversee AP, Payroll, and broader shared services operations with a focus on scalability, consistency, controls, service quality, and efficiency.
- Drive process improvement, automation, systems optimization, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, compliance, vendor management, master data integrity, and audit readiness.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance operations team.
- Partner across the business to drive accountability, improve decision-making, and strengthen operational performance.
- 12–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Deep experience across treasury, working capital, finance operations, and/or shared services.
- Demonstrated success leading teams across Treasury, AR, AP, Payroll, or related functions.
- A track record of improving cash flow, liquidity, DSO, DPO, and overall working capital performance.
- Strong cash forecasting and liquidity management experience.
- Experience leading automation, finance transformation, process improvement, or systems initiatives.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen combined with the executive presence to influence senior stakeholders and lead change.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
