We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector I to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their quality or manufacturing career who is eager to learn, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality products.
As a Quality Inspector I, you’ll support the inspection of machined, fabricated, and assembled parts while gaining experience with precision measurement tools, engineering drawings, and quality systems. You’ll work closely with experienced inspectors, engineers, and production teams in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to understand inspection requirements
- Perform dimensional measurements and inspections using basic precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and gauge pins
- Conduct visual inspections of materials, in-process work, and finished products, with and without microscopes
- Accurately document inspection results and clearly identify nonconforming materials or products
- Communicate inspection findings to supervisors and production personnel and assist with corrective actions
- Enter inspection data and process inspection jobs within the ERP system
- Create and update inspection reports based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Learn to operate advanced inspection equipment such as Optical Comparators, CMMs, and Vision Inspection Systems through on-the-job training
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Math skills sufficient to understand tolerances and sampling quantities
- Interest in quality inspection, manufacturing, or engineering environments
- Ability to follow procedures and work effectively in a team setting
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of related manufacturing or inspection experience preferred (but not required for strong entry-level candidates)
- Coursework, certifications, or training in Quality, Manufacturing, or Inspection is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and airborne particles. Noise levels are typically moderate. The position requires regular attendance and may involve sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Candidates must be able to routinely lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance. Normal hearing and vision (including color vision), hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity are required.
Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be required.
