Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. In addition, the manager leads production teams, optimizes workflows, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
How You Will Do It- Plan, organize, and control production activities to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
- Supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with Planning Manager to align production schedules with material availability and capacity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage production budgets and control operational costs.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare performance reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Responsible for feedback, coaching, development, and resolution of performance issues with all direct reports
- Own, review, and approve all procedures and policies that govern work of production leads. Process documentation is owned by the manufacturing engineers.
- Timecard management
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Ability to thrive in fast-changing priorities and make decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong project management skills and experience in Lean Manufacturing and cell leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing planning tools.
- Analytical, improvement-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to mentor and develop others.
- Business acumen and ability to deliver results in dynamic environments.
