- Operate all assigned equipment, following and overseeing standard work according to department SOPs.
- Work with manufacturing leaders to establish, implement, maintain, and enhance standard work.
- Conduct training for operators on standard work and troubleshooting techniques and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Recommend changes to operating procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs including LPMS, 5S, KATA, and Kaizen events.
- Troubleshoot machine/line stoppage, perform repairs, and facilitate escalation for additional technical support.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance during machine downtime and/or partner with operations, mechanics and engineers as appropriate.
- Monitor production quality and act according to standard work/SOP.
- Complete documentation (batch records, log books, PM, DM) following good documentation practices.
- Higher‑level technicians perform all functions on multiple pieces of equipment as directed.
- Align peripheral equipment or arrange assistance and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform set‑up and start‑up for code changes according to equipment manuals, product specifications and procedures.
- Operate and maintain machinery: start and stop the machine as needed, including cleaning and restarting after electrical failure or other interruptions.
- Feed materials, inspect, pack, and document according to plant procedures.
- Ensure machine operates within validated parameters, adhering to specifications and safety & environmental regulations.
- Meet operational standards for efficiency, production, scrap, downtime, and cycle time.
- Manage waste: remove, verify, and identify scrap from stations as required.
- Pack products in double plastic bags with proper identification and hermetic sealing.
- Prepare information boards and maintain written records or production graphs to monitor productivity and establish trends.
- Sanitize worktables, conveyors, and inspection tables.
- Identify, report, and address deviations in process parameters or incidents affecting product quality.
- Perform dimensional, functional, and special tests according to specifications and SOPs.
- Visually and instrumentally inspect products to detect defects.
- Maintain records of critical machine parameters and complete required documentation.
- Document required information manually or electronically, including parameters, batches, and production data.
- Conduct routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance (cleaning, greasing, lubricating).
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions.
- Maintain and secure provided tools.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure all machinery and systems comply with industry standards.
- Notify and keep Automation, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering personnel informed of issues affecting machine operation or process.
