As a Service Engineer I at Providence, you play a critical role in designing and maintaining high-performing, reliable, and secure services that support caregivers and business operations. You leverage deep technical expertise to architect solutions that meet compliance standards and KPIs for quality, cost, and caregiver experience. Your responsibilities include hands‑on compliance checks, rigorous reliability assessments, benchmarking, and interoperability testing to maintain the highest standards for systems, devices, and equipment designed for all healthcare specific use‑case environments.
You actively troubleshoot complex issues, collaborating with OEM vendors to drive resolution and ensure minimal disruption. This role will support the enforcement compliance and standardization solutions. Your responsibilities include conducting hands‑on compliance checks, performing rigorous reliability assessments, benchmarking, and interoperability testing to maintain the highest standards for systems, devices, and equipment to meet the needs in various healthcare‑specific use‑cases. You actively troubleshoot complex issues, collaborating with OEM vendors, suppliers, and partners to drive resolution and ensure minimal disruption.
Your proactive approach includes incident responses, and continuous monitoring of production environments. By applying best practices, driving process improvements, and utilizing data‑driven insights, you enable predictable, on‑time releases and cost‑effective solutions. Ultimately, you help deliver resilient, innovative solutions that empower caregivers and enhance service excellence across the organization.

- Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering
-OR- a combination of equivalent education and work experience - 1 or more years of related experience
- Some experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- 1 or more years of experience in hardware validation, system integration, reliability/stress testing, and test automation
- Applies deep technical expertise and engineering best practices to conduct functional, performance, stress and interoperability testing across complex systems.
- Rapidly troubleshoots and resolves sophisticated issues, performing thorough root‑cause analysis and coordinating vendor escalations when needed.
- Collaborates closely with developers, testers, program managers, and clinical/IS stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑quality services and solutions.
- Leverages service KPIs, usage insights, and trend analytics to drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost‑efficient resource modeling.
- Ensures systems remain resilient, secure, continuously monitored, and optimized for long‑term stability and performance.
