The Commissary Tamale Clerk assists the Production Management team in managing the day-to-day operation of production needs. Working in an assembly line, performing high amounts of tamales to fulfill production targets. Under the direction of Production Management, fulfill the production orders for the day and conduct any tasks as assigned throughout the day. Assists production management team in monitoring and executing all compliance documents as per Company standards in Personnel and Food Safety, sanitation, and productivity.

Ensures picking orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and maintains fulfillment ratios at industry standards or above. Follows strict directive in the execution of hourly schedule and does not deviate unless directed by warehouse management team.

Works with QA Director in the implementation of the Food Safety program in the commissary.

• Wear required PPE, follow GMP regulations, and adhere to Company policies.
• Responsible for own safety and well-being of all peer associates.
• Mix ingredients, cut, dice, and prepare products as needed in production area.
• Move product from one location to another in a safe and efficient manner.
• Obey all traffic and speed signs throughout the commissary facility, inside and out.
• Wear all equipment safety gear and safety belt per Company policies.
• Supply raw materials from storage areas to all production departments and pick up finished goods from production areas and store them in a safe and efficient manner.
• Dispose recyclables, trash, and waste in designated bins and/or trash receptacles.
• Perform all picking, staging, and loading activities to ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner.
• Ensure documentation for each load upon completion is signed off and provides final check lists to Supervisor or Leads for final issuing of bill of lading and final release of shipment.
• Ensure full compliance with facility and department safety rules, HACCP, SSOP’s & GMP’s according to Company Food Safety guidelines.

• Perform transport handling of all shipments, loading and unloading.
• Ensure all raw materials and finished goods are safely stored according to Company Foods Safety standards.
• Report immediately to Supervisor any driving accidents and/or property and material damage.
• Relieve other forklift associates when taking breaks.
• Execute proper and smooth functioning of all picking, storing, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Assist Warehouse Team in management of entire inventory in the warehouse.
• Follow all necessary documentation and legal procedures for dispatch and receiving goods.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of goods and materials.
• Ensure work area is kept clean and in an orderly manner.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all local and state health and sanitation laws and regulations.
• Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Must be able to operate pallet-wrapping machines.
• Must have solid attendance record.

• Food Handlers Certification.

• Must show calm and professional demeanor while working on a forklift.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and motivational capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must have decision making abilities.
