Picker AND Packer 1st Shift at Aerotek Irvine, CA

Job Title

Picker and Packer – 1st Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) – $19/hr

Join a dynamic team as a Picker and Packer, playing a crucial role in the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders in a fast‑paced warehouse handling diamond blades and core bits for the construction, stone, and mining industries. The role involves lifting up to 45‑50 lbs and performing routine packing, labeling, and shipping tasks.

• Accurately pick ordered items from the warehouse and deliver them to necessary departments.
• Utilize computer systems to manage work orders effectively.
• Read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job orders.
• Inspect materials before packing to ensure quality standards.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products, including picking, unloading, labeling, and storing.
• Perform inventory controls and maintain high standards for audits.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment while optimizing space utilization.
• Complete diary logs into inventory and report any discrepancies.

• Basic knowledge of fast‑paced warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Windows applications.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluency in English, with reading and communication skills.

• Ability to communicate (speak and write) in English.

The position is a contract‑to‑hire based out of Irvine, CA. Employees wear personal protective equipment such as steel‑toe boots and safety glasses. The warehouse may have temperature fluctuations, and the environment can be hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or contain other particles. Operators may work with large equipment and forklifts. Physical requirements include frequently lifting up to 35 lbs, standing or sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.
