Product Engineer
Overview
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be a key business leader and part of the Systems Irvine Business Unit. The unit’s product portfolio includes optical systems, light sources, sensors, lens assemblies, optics, coating, and manufacturing services.
Responsibilities- Develop and launch a new business segment, including product strategy, roadmap, sales pipeline, and market growth opportunities.
- Lead emerging customer and stakeholder strategies to maximize growth, profit, and customer satisfaction.
- Own the product line’s business success, including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, pricing, and market positioning.
- Translate broad concepts and strategies into structured product marketing plans.
- Conduct market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to enhance existing products or product lines.
- Lead new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
- Serve as the technical advisor for assigned product lines.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in science, engineering, or a technical discipline preferred. - 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or business leadership in a technology‑driven environment.
- 3+ years of experience in optical systems or laser technologies with the ability to act as a technical advisor.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and pricing strategy development.
- Skilled at translating broad concepts into structured product plans.
- Collaborative leadership with a track record of cross‑functional work with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales.
- Strong communication and presentation skills that influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Operate a computer and related office equipment.
- Sit, stand, or type for extended periods.
- Maintain a stationary position for the majority of the time.
- Observe documents and details at close range.
- Adhere to safety protocols in a professional office or laboratory/manufacturing environment.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
- Follow directions and instructions accurately.
- Interact with employees, customers, suppliers, vendors, and the public safely and professionally.
- Access sensitive and confidential business systems, personal information, and company financial information.
- Maintain physical security and safety, demonstrating trustworthiness, reliability, and good judgment.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary Pay Range
: $110,000 to $160,000 per year.

Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
