Electronics-Mechanical Assembler 1 – Fans, Pumps and Compressors – Motor WindingThe Electronics Assembler 1 should have 0 to 2 years of related electronics assembly experience. On a production basis, the employee will perform various coil winding and stator sub-assemblies on various product lines. These tasks are generally done by hand using specific tooling to reduce the risk of damage. You will need to make simple decisions but must follow established precedents.
Works well under general supervision and has some responsibility for work output. Good understanding of products and processes. Able to troubleshoot stator assembly issues with support from supervision & able to work on a variety of tasks when needed.
- Good understanding of coil winding, insertion of coils into stator stacks and making connections and basic assembly techniques.
- Must be able to or willing to learn to read, interpret and understand drawings and AWIs.
- Must be able to or willing to learn basic coil winding, insertion, connection and forming end turns including lacing cord to maintain shape.
- Must be able to or willing to learn to braze or solder connections.
- Winding coils using magnet wire in 20awg to 30awg sizes.
- Know rotation of connections for CW and CCW.
- J-STD-001 Certification preferred or ability to become certified.

- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Requires good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than 2 years of related electronics assembly experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide with units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance).
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Work effectively with co‑workers, customers and others by sharing ideas constructively and positively.
- Ability to listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keep commitments and inform others of progress, timetables and issues; find constructive solutions.
- Interact with other departments such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering.
- Strong cooperative teamwork and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills to log into work orders, access time cards, and log work orders for special process.
- Operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, up to 12 kV hipot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, common hand tools and use of a microscope.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, sitting, hand use, reaching, talking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level typically low; work area subject to air conditioning/heating.

- Pay Range: $16.90/hr to $28.15/hr
