Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced machinist capable of holding tolerances and straightness within .00010. The role involves working from blueprints and tools, contributing to lean initiatives, and operating machinery with limited guidance.
- Set up and run multiple production machines; perform operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming.
- Make necessary machine adjustments and report improper machine functioning.
- Align and fasten work using standard fixtures and established methods.
- Install and adjust cutting tools according to material being machined.
- Follow established manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to meet quality parts per documentation.
- Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision parts in accordance with engineering blueprints.
- Inspect parts for conformance using measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and microscopes.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability per division requirements.
- Perform statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
- Implement lean initiatives and suggest improvements.
- Observe all company policies, safety rules, and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform other related responsibilities as requested.
- Three years related machining experience; able to work with limited guidance in a team environment.
- Ability to set up machines.
- Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
- Effectively applies lean initiatives.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Interprets reports and uses job‑specific software applications.
- Uses employee self‑service systems and specialized automated systems (e.g., PMR, TORS, e‑mail).
- Demonstrates teamwork and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.
Requires walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods; manual dexterity; close vision; regular attendance; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Competitive CompensationPay Range: $26.65/hr to $40.25/hr participation in Annual Incentive Program.
