Job Overview
Akkodis is seeking an Automotive Trim Technician for a contract job with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on prototype trim/seat technician who can cut, sew, and assemble high‑quality seat trim covers and complete seat builds, with strong craftsmanship and experience in automotive or upholstery prototyping.
RateRate Range: $35/hour to $38/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities- Expert in cutting, sewing & trim cover assembly (fabric, leather, vinyl using industrial machines)
- Experience in full seat build & mechanical assembly (frames, foam, hardware, fit & finish)
- Ability to read patterns/drawings & ensure quality checks (stitching, alignment, tolerances)
- Proficiency operating industrial sewing machines and related equipment (cutters, skivers, binders, sergers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret patterns, drawings, work instructions, and digital layouts
- Comfortable using basic manufacturing software and equipment interfaces
