This role focuses on assembling advanced medical devices, including urinary catheters and printed circuit board assemblies, in a clean room environment on the first shift. You will work with microscopes and small components to produce high-quality products that support patient care. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity, and the ability to follow strict clean room and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities- Assemble printed circuit board assemblies (PCB-A) and small parts in a clean room environment while following established procedures.
- Assemble catheters and related medical devices under a microscope to ensure precision, consistency, and product quality.
- Follow clean room guidelines and maintain a sterile, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and technical documents to perform accurate assembly tasks.
- Inspect finished products visually and under magnification to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Package medical devices and components according to defined procedures and quality requirements.
- Use computers and software to connect devices via Bluetooth and run tests as part of the assembly and verification process.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
- Communicate any defects, issues, or process concerns to the appropriate team members to support continuous improvement.
- Work both independently and as part of a small team to complete daily production assignments.
- Handle glues, epoxies, and other assembly materials safely and accurately when required.
- Support laser welding‑related tasks if experienced, or learn basic concepts as needed for specific assemblies.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical device assembly experience, preferably in a clean room environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in a clean room and adhering to clean room guidelines and protocols.
- Ability to assemble small components and medical devices under a microscope with high precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for fine, repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Comfort using computers and software, including connecting devices via Bluetooth and testing via software (self‑assessed confidence on a scale of 1–10).
- Experience with general assembly, including handling and packaging of medical products.
- Knowledge of and adherence to clean room best practices and standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with glue or epoxies in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Any exposure to laser welding processes in a production or medical device context.
- Prior experience with medical device packaging processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with operating microscopes designed for ergonomic use, such as modern inspection systems.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, software, and testing methods as products and processes evolve.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and support staff.
- Comfort working in a small, growing team environment where responsibilities may expand over time.
