Position Summary
Operates various conventional and/or numerically controlled machining centers on semi-complex jobs. Works from blueprints, sketches, planning sheets, verbal instructions, and/or engineering, tooling, or equipment information. Contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Works with limited guidance in a team environment.

The division’s Jet Pipe® electrohydraulic servo valve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world.

- Create, modify, and optimize Wire EDM programs based on prints and geometric G1/G2/G3 programs.
- Select appropriate wire type, size, power settings, flushing methods, and cutting strategies.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and work holdings to ensure stability, accuracy, and repeatability.
- Establish and maintain proper machine offsets, datums, and reference points.
- Operate EDM sinker machines.
- Operate Wire EDM machines to produce parts meeting tolerance, finish, and feature requirements.
- Monitor cutting conditions and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and prevent wire breaks.
- Perform unattended runs when applicable and ensure safe, consistent operation.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to verify part requirements.
- Measure and document dimensions using precision inspection tools.
- Verify and maintain critical tolerances, surface finish, taper requirements, and geometry.
- Assist with first-article inspection and in-process checks; communicate issues proactively.
- Troubleshoot programming, setup, and process issues; recommend corrective actions.
- Improve cycle times and reduce scrap through process optimization and best practices.
- Maintain job documentation including setup sheets, tooling lists, and program revisions.
Must walk, stand, sit for extended periods. Requires manual dexterity and vision. Requires regular attendance and professionalism. May need to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation- Pay Range: $26.65/hr to $40.25/hr
