Position: Formulation Technician - 2:30am-11am

Manufacturing Technician

This role is responsible for manufacturing pharmaceutical assemblies in a GMP-compliant environment, with a focus on solution preparation and production activities within the Formulation Department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, verification, and teardown of manufacturing equipment before and after processing to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Prepare solutions and production materials by accurately weighing, mixing, heating, cooling, sampling, and filtering according to established procedures.
  • Carry out manufacturing tasks including fabrication, in-process testing, and packaging of pharmaceutical assemblies and medical devices.
  • Document all production activities in manufacturing lot history records and batch records with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
  • Clean and maintain production equipment and production areas to meet GMP, sanitization, and safety requirements.
  • Utilize pipettes, micro balances, and other laboratory tools to measure and handle materials precisely.
  • Perform analysis of process and production data as needed to support process control and continuous improvement.
  • Formulate polymers and prepare spray coating formulations used in drug-device combination products.
  • Set up coating machines, coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters in accordance with manufacturing instructions.
  • Prepare excipient formulations and spray coating formulations for use in pharmaceutical and medical device production.
  • Support the preparation, mixing, inspection, filtration, and documentation of solutions used in the production of drug-loaded polymer microspheres.
  • Operate mixers, jacketed tanks, temperature control units (TCU), peristaltic pumps, ultrasonic baths, bottle rollers, and balances safely and effectively.
  • Perform in-process inspections and environmental controls to ensure product quality and compliance with GMP standards.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience

Work Environment

You will work around pharmaceutical and medical device production equipment, including mixers, jacketed tanks, temperature control units, peristaltic pumps, ultrasonic baths, bottle rollers, balances, coating machines, and sterilization preparation equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
