The Packaging Technician works on a cleanroom packaging line to prepare, label, and package finished goods according to strict specifications and quality standards. This role involves operating and adjusting packaging and labeling equipment, performing manual packaging when needed, maintaining accurate documentation, and following established procedures to ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety requirements.

• Cut and prepare eye dropper bottles so that internal microbiology personnel can accurately read and process them.
• Complete required training modules on gowning techniques and correctly apply these procedures when entering and exiting designated cleanroom and controlled areas.
• Set up, operate, and oversee packaging operations on packaging lines, including assembly, disassembly, preparation, and adjustment of labeling and packaging machinery.
• Visually inspect labels and finished packaged goods to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards.
• Perform manual labeling and packaging of finished goods when automated machinery is unavailable or when manual processes are required by specifications.
• Apply good documentation practices when recording, maintaining, and organizing batch records, forms, documents, and logbooks for assigned areas.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste generated on the packaging floor in accordance with procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist other team members in manufacturing and related areas as needed to support production and packaging activities.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas, including tools and inspection/packaging machines, to support efficient operations and compliance.
• Adhere to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO rules and regulations related to the position.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor to support packaging and manufacturing operations.

• Ability to follow detailed written procedures, SOPs, and work instructions in a regulated environment.
• Capability to learn and apply proper gowning techniques for working in cleanroom and controlled areas.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to assemble, disassemble, and adjust packaging and labeling machinery.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of labels and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.
• Ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation, including batch records, forms, and logbooks, using good documentation practices.
• Willingness to handle and properly label hazardous waste in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist colleagues in manufacturing and packaging areas as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• No prior experience required; willingness to be trained and follow instructions carefully.

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with packaging operations, including assembly, labeling, and inspection, is an advantage.
• Experience working in a cleanroom or other controlled environment is beneficial.
• Understanding of GMP and ISO requirements in a production or packaging setting is a plus.
• Comfort working with packaging, labeling, and assembly tasks on production lines.
