Position Summary

Responsible for performing medium to heavy electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work on a production basis. Works under general supervision and follows established precedents. Ensures a safe work environment with a goal of zero accidents.

Responsibilities
  • Some mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient microelectronic assembly skills.
  • Proficient cable harness and PCB assembly.
  • Proficient mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements and calibration.
  • Proficient at interpreting blueprints and adhering to instructions.
  • Proficient high voltage potting and high voltage testing skills.
  • Certified to IPC Specialist and J-STD-001.
  • Proficient at identifying and troubleshooting faulty components.
  • Maintains a consistent standard of work and performance to comply with Quality Assurance regulations.
  • Respects contractual deadlines (Turn Around Time).
  • May be assigned to assist other departments.
  • Emphasize safety and cleanliness by maintaining organized workstations and shadow boards, verifying that appropriate safety equipment is used properly.
  • May perform other related responsibilities.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.
  • Ensure all chemicals are within expiration limits.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and TIBS for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read blueprints, job travelers, and weld schedules.
Job Specifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Six (6) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN: U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Basic math skills: add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Work effectively with co‑workers, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Listen and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keep commitments and inform others of work progress.
  • Work independently and cooperate with other departments such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering.
  • Basic computer skills to log work orders, access time cards, and log work orders for special processes.
  • Operates winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, up to 12 kV Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, common hand tools, and microscopes.
  • Physical demands: stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
