Position: PCBA Solderer Needed ASAP 23 - 26 Per Hour

Job Title:

Solderer

As a Repair Technician, you will work with returned electronic products, focusing on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and system-level products. Your main tasks will include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing these products. You will also be responsible for updating and recording all related RMA statuses in the database and preparing detailed repair reports for each case.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering and assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).

  • Assemble and modify prototype, developmental, and production electronic assemblies.

  • Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.

  • Install components using hand tools and soldering equipment.

  • Inspect and test electronic assemblies to verify proper functionality and quality.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies as needed.

  • Ensure all work meets IPC-A-610 workmanship and quality standards.

  • Follow safety procedures related to equipment use, chemicals, and material handling.

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and production team members to resolve issues and meet project objectives.

Essential Skills
  • Soldering, through-hole, and electronic assembly skills.

  • Experience with PCBA hand soldering.

  • Troubleshooting and testing capabilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics.

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in electronic assembly, soldering, or a related manufacturing environment.

  • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

  • Ability to work with small electronic components, including tasks requiring visual magnification.

  • Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and best practices.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
