  • Create and maintain work instructions, travelers, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production use, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Manage redlines, engineering change orders (ECOs), and Bills of Materials (BOM) updates to keep documentation current and aligned with product requirements.
  • Estimate labor times to support quoting and job costing activities for new and existing products.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects or process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Cut, strip, and crimp wires using manual and automated tools while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency.
  • Insert wires into circular connectors and other connector types by following detailed assembly instructions and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform soldering operations on wires, terminals, and connectors in accordance with IPC standards, with training provided if needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, wire schematics, and Bills of Materials to ensure correct assembly and configuration.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support production by maintaining a clean, organized workstation and following all safety and ESD procedures.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and packaging tasks associated with electronic assemblies and wire harnesses as required.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for electronic and mechanical assembly work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, quality, and efficiency.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of electronics experience in assembly and testing.

  • Demonstrated experience in wiring, crimping, soldering, and electronic assembly for wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, wire schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience using and maintaining test equipment such as Cirris, Cable Scan, Hi-Pot, pull testers, and micro-ohmmeters.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, debugging, repair, and calibration of electronic assemblies and harnesses.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistently producing precise, high-quality work with small components and repetitive tasks.
  • Good manual dexterity and comfort working with fine-pitch components and detailed assemblies.
  • Ability to create and follow work instructions, travelers, and SOPs in a production environment.
  • Capability to estimate labor times and understand basic job costing concepts.
  • Familiarity with wire harness assembly processes and Our Client line-style production environments.
  • Eligibility under ITAR requirements, with documentation available as needed.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • IPC Certification such as J-STD-001 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 is preferred.
  • Experience working with Mil-Spec connectors, including MIL-DTL-, D-Sub, and circular connectors.
  • Experience in assembling cable harnesses for military, aerospace, or industrial applications.
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe work environments and ESD handling practices.
  • Experience building or designing custom test fixtures for continuity and Hi-Pot testing.
  • Ability to manage redlines, ECOs, and BOM revisions in coordination with engineering and production.
