CNC Programmer Machinist

The CNC Programmer Machinist will play a key role in programming, setting up, and producing precision machined components using advanced 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines and mill turn lathes.

Job Duties

• Program multi axis CNC equipment using Mastercam for 4 and 5 axis milling and mill turn lathes, ensuring efficient toolpaths and optimized cycle times.
• Perform complete machine setups including first article runs, tooling selection, work holding, and verification of machining operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to produce high precision components that meet aerospace and medical grade tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues, support root cause analysis, and maintain strict compliance with customer specifications.
• Manage job flow and scheduling on assigned machines to meet production deadlines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required and Preferred Skills

• 5+ years CNC programming and machining experience with strong proficiency in Mastercam for multi axis milling.
• Hands on experience with 4 and 5 axis mills and mill turn lathes, including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D models in Solid Works;
  AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus.
