Tester II - 2nd Shift
Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Tester II - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 + $1.00 shift differential per hour. The hours for this shift are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Beyond base pay, we offer day 1 eligibility to PTO, 401 with company match, medical, dental, vision insurance, and Paid Parental Leave for all.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You'll Do:The Tester is responsible for performing bench testing of a diversified line of parts, subassemblies and completed units following established procedures.
- Perform bench work requiring use of simple limit direct reading gauges and meters
- Build / fabricate own setup operations on less complicated test systems
- Connect products to be tested to test equipment, monitor gauges and meters, verify and record results
- Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.
- Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
- Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement
- Lead and interpret blueprints & schematics
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in Fuel, Hydraulic or Pneumatic Testing is required
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Irvine, CA (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
- This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in either the Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Airline Maintenance industries
- Knowledge of simple math including the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers
- Ability to use direct reading and fixed gauges
- Able to read blueprints and schematics
