Job Description

The Assembler I performs electro-mechanical assembly and clean room device assembly and packaging for medical device products. This role requires strong manual assembly skills, consistent attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will work closely with a cross-functional team, follow documented procedures, and support quality and safety standards while contributing to a growing product line.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly and clean room device assembly and packaging in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Support company goals and objectives by following policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and applicable medical device quality standards and regulations.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), departmental policies and procedures (DOPs), quality assurance programs, and safety and environmental standards.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures written in English, and follow their requirements accurately.
  • Use basic hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other equipment to assemble components and verify measurements as required.
  • Operate electrical and mechanical equipment and interpret results to ensure proper functioning and product quality.
  • Monitor your own work to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and consistent quality, promptly identifying and escalating issues with tooling, materials, processes, or quality.
  • Learn new equipment and processes and quickly demonstrate proficiency in their operation.
  • Transact product within the production system using computer-based programs and complete required online training.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and other departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and active listening.
  • Establish, build, and maintain professional working relationships with staff, clients, and suppliers at all levels.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a cross-functional team environment.
  • Practice and advocate good safety skills at all times to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of medical device assembly experience.
  • Proven manual hand assembly skills for electro-mechanical and clean room device assembly and packaging.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and learn engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and inspection procedures written in English.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and similar measurement tools.
  • Ability to operate electrical and mechanical equipment and interpret results.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing consistently high-quality work and detecting issues with tooling, materials, processes, and quality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including clear communication and active listening.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to work on a computer using various programs to transact product and complete online training.
  • Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs, quality assurance programs, and safety and environmental standards.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or production environment.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and production operations.
  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing and related quality standards.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to quickly learn new equipment and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Comfort working within regulated environments and adhering to documented processes.
