The Senior Production Technician serves as a technical expert within the Injection Molding Department and is responsible for machine setup, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and equipment operation. This role supports production goals by optimizing machine performance, ensuring product quality, reducing downtime, and assisting with continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties
- Set up and remove molds in injection molding machines.
- Troubleshoot plastic parts that do not meet acceptable quality standards.
- Perform quality inspections on parts as required and document results.
- Train new operators and provide leadership to the team.
- Perform production-related tasks in an FDA and cGMP-regulated environment.
- Interface with production equipment, including but not limited to setup, cleaning, adjustments, jam resolution, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Utilize Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to record batch record data.
- Perform cycle counts and/or confirm inventory transactions in SAP.
- Support nonconformance investigations and root cause analysis.
- Perform cleaning and line clearance activities and complete related documentation.
- Review and verify controlled documents, including batch records, logbooks, and production orders (POs).
- Maintain required training and complete all assigned training within established deadlines.
- Assist other product lines or departments as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Requires working knowledge of a technical field or area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts while following established procedures and guidelines.
- Works under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Uses established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
- May require limited judgment in resolving problems.
- Regularly interacts with direct supervisors, leads, and peers.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years of related experience
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use hands to handle, touch, or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
