• Assisting with setup, operation, and adjustment of conventional or automatic machines, including mills, lathes, band saws, grinders, and CNC Mazak mill machines.
• Interpreting work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials lists, and specifications to produce replacement parts, new parts, experimental apparatus, or prototype equipment.
• Performing machining tasks to both ordinary and tight tolerances, checking and inspecting operations against specified requirements.
• Planning assignments, laying out work, setting up, operating, and making tool adjustments for various types of numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment.
• Identifying and repairing minor machine malfunctions as needed.
• Ensuring accuracy of settings and quality of finished parts throughout the process.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and conventional machining (must-have).
• Possess basic knowledge of various metals and measurement techniques used in machining processes.
• Are flexible, patient, and able to work well with others as a team player (must-have soft skills).
• Can work independently, follow clearly defined procedures, and make sound judgments in straightforward situations.
• Are comfortable completing job duties 100% independently from day one.
