Critical Care Registered Nurse - Irvine, California

Provide specialized care in an intensive care unit setting, delivering expert nursing through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. This role focuses on managing critically ill patients, guiding care teams, and facilitating patient and family education while upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care aligned with current nursing best practices and protocols.
• Monitor and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic status and diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with physicians to communicate clinical changes and contribute to care planning.
• Lead patient and family education efforts to ensure understanding of treatment and care plans.
• Supervise and mentor other nursing staff to maintain quality and safety in the ICU environment.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• At least one year of RN experience in acute care hospital critical care nursing.
• Certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) is preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are preferred.
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is an advantage.
