Nursing Services Coordinator, ABSN Education

We are seeking a Director of Nursing Services for Concordia University Irvine’s 15‑month Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program that launched in August 2023. The Director provides administrative and clinical academic leadership as the ABSN site leader, collaborating with the Concordia Nursing Academic team on curriculum development, maintenance, evaluation, and integration with university partners.

• Plan, develop and implement strategies for operational management of clinical, lab, and simulation activities to meet organizational and university partner goals.
• Establish and maintain systems for measuring operational performance and strategic development.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans.
• Recruit, retain, evaluate, coach, mentor, and provide professional development for direct reporting staff.
• Communicate with staff and serve as liaison for the organization and university partner.
• Develop and maintain strategies to reinforce organizational and university partner culture and values.
• Assist in budget and cost management.
• Provide clinical and academic expertise and guidance in problem‑solving with healthcare and university partners.
• Collaborate with campus team members and departments, and fill in for lab, simulation, or clinical courses when required.
• Secure and manage inventory of supplies and equipment for all clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
• Collaborate with partner representatives to ensure delivery of services to students.
• Ensure activities meet quality management, health and safety, legal, environmental, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
• Manage student and faculty compliance with healthcare partners’ clinical requirements.
• Oversee and evaluate all nursing clinical sites and student experiences, ensuring regular visits each semester and documenting findings.
• Address other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing practice.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including personnel supervision.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of site locations (and eligibility for RN licensure in the state of the educational partner, if required).
• Graduate degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
• At least 3 years of didactic, clinical, or online teaching experience.
• Academic leadership experience and nursing certification.
• Online teaching experience strongly preferred.
