Emergency Veterinarian

Associate Veterinarian Emergency Clinician – Blue Pearl Vet, LLC – Irvine, CA

Provide emergency healthcare treatment to animals. Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries, including dressing wounds, performing surgical operations, and prescribing appropriate medications and treatments. Operate medical equipment used in animal treatment, such as CT‑scan and urinalysis. Write prescriptions for sick animals. Carry out research on animal diseases, including prevention and treatment. Complete appropriate documentation and request referrals from other specialists as needed.

Serve as a hospital leader in setting a pleasant, engaging, and professional work environment. Educate animal owners on animal behavior. Research how to protect humans from infection by animal diseases. Participate in hospital medical meetings and professional forums.

Travel: Domestic travel for continuing education is optional. May be asked to cover shifts for other Veterinarians at Blue Pearl hospitals located within the same MSA.

Salary: $220,000 to $240,000/year; detailed benefits information available at Culture & Benefits tab. • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (foreign equivalent accepted)
• California veterinary license
• One year of experience as an Emergency Veterinarian, Associate Veterinarian, Veterinarian Specialist – Emergency, or Emergency Clinician.
