We re looking for a highly skilled Microbiologist III to serve as a technical leader within our Microbiology team. In this role, you ll be the scientist others rely on—providing technical expertise, leading critical microbiology initiatives, supporting aseptic manufacturing, and helping develop the next generation of microbiologists.

You ll remain actively engaged in laboratory operations while partnering across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, Facilities, and MSAT to solve complex problems, strengthen microbiology programs, and ensure the highest standards of product quality and patient safety.

What You ll Do
  • Independently perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, utilities, environmental monitoring samples, and finished drug products.
  • Lead microbiological method qualifications and validations, including authoring protocols, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for aseptic processing, contamination control, environmental monitoring, and cleanroom microbiology.
  • Provide on‑the‑floor microbiology support for aseptic manufacturing operations, including media fills, personnel monitoring, and gowning qualifications.
  • Analyze microbiological and environmental monitoring data to identify trends, investigate excursions, assess product impact, and support effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead and support microbiology investigations, deviations, risk assessments, and CAPAs.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, MSAT, Facilities, and external partners to support new products, process improvements, technology transfers, and operational excellence.
  • Represent the Microbiology department during customer audits, regulatory inspections, and internal audits.
  • Ensure laboratory activities comply with current GMP requirements while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in laboratory records and electronic systems.
  • Mentor and coach fellow microbiologists by providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and supporting professional development.
