K3 Innovations is seeking a talented Scientist II to join a leading global biopharmaceutical organization supporting the development of sterile liquid drug products
. This is an exciting opportunity for a formulation scientist with experience in sterile pharmaceutical development, analytical characterization, and manufacturing process development to contribute to the advancement of innovative therapies.

• Conduct laboratory experiments supporting the development of sterile liquid dosage forms
  , including solutions, emulsions, and suspensions
• Support formulation and manufacturing process development under the guidance of senior scientists while independently executing assigned laboratory studies
• Perform analytical and characterization testing, including:
  • pH
  • Osmolality
  • Viscosity/Rheology
  • Turbidity
  • Particle Size Analysis
  • Physical Appearance Evaluations
  • Utilize HPLC and UPLC systems (UV, PDA, RI detectors) to generate high-quality analytical data
  • Independently design experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot formulation and process development challenges
  • Maintain accurate experimental documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN)
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate scientific findings to multidisciplinary project teams
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation to support efficient laboratory operations
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy
  , or another relevant scientific discipline with 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or
• Master's degree in a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience in sterile liquid formulation and manufacturing process development
• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques, including:
• Sterile filtration
• Autoclaving
• Aseptic laboratory practices
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC analytical instrumentation
• Experience performing pharmaceutical analytical characterization techniques
• Strong technical writing, scientific documentation, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel
  , and statistical software
• Experience analyzing experimental data and preparing technical reports

• Experience developing pharmaceutical solutions, emulsions, and suspensions
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes for sterile dosage forms
• Strong understanding of formulation development principles
• Experience applying statistical analysis to experimental data
• Demonstrated scientific creativity, problem-solving ability, and independent laboratory execution

• Sterile formulation and manufacturing process development experience
• Strong analytical laboratory skills (
  HPLC, UPLC, particle characterization
  )
• Excellent scientific documentation and data integrity practices
• Independent thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and collaboration in a multidisciplinary research environment

• Contribute to the development of innovative sterile pharmaceutical products
• Work with state-of-the-art formulation and analytical technologies
• Collaborate with experienced formulation scientists and pharmaceutical development teams
• Gain valuable experience within a world-class biopharmaceutical organization
