In this exciting role as a Senior Buyer/ Planner, you will have responsibility for MRP accuracy, purchase planning and execution, PO maintenance and raw material inventory. This includes placing Purchase Orders for raw materials (including Kanban agreements), raising call up, negotiating timely delivery for ensuring cost effective acquisition of quality materials, checking validating BOM for Buy material, inventory analytics to reduce unhealthy inventory.

This position leads and works in a collaborative environment with Production planning, Manufacturing, Commodity Management, Supplier Quality and Supplier Management On-site Sr. Buyer Planner for Neurovascular (NV) in Irvine, CA. There is no relocation assistance for this role.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.+ Understand, validate, correct, and act on Material Requirement planning (MRP) and its messages. Ensure BOM, yields. Lead Times, MOQ, and Safety Stcok are correct to ensure MRP signal is right.+ Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through production and inventory process.+

Actively manages raw material inventory - analyzing it , reducing unhealthy inventory to exceed Partners with Sourcing Engineer on resolve supplier issue of Quality, capacity, Lead time+ Leads and participates in cross-functional projects involving Supply Chain, Sector and/or corporate initiatives that ensure business objectives are met.+ Ensure compliance to procedures and represent purchasing in audits.+ Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, IQC and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.+

Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.+ May monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate on demand analysis planning.+ Meet inventory goals while supporting material requirements for production.+ Maintain PO for dates and Quantity to remain current and drive excellence in Supplier OTIF+ Represent Purchasing in Manufacturing, Operations Scheduling and other daily Tier meetings.+ Very close co-ordination with supplier as well as Manufacturing to ensure there are no line downs due to Material.+

Place timely purchase orders expedite material and resolve payment issues with suppliers.+ Partners with Commodity Management/ Supply Management on supplier Value Stream, Capacity Planning, supplier issues/delays and Business continuity assessment+ Proactively escalate any supplier issues, get buy in from cross functional team to ensure risk (of line down) are mitigated.+ Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and…
