Position Summary

The Quality Engineer is a key leader in Customer Centricity, Innovation, and Operational Excellence. The candidate will manage tasks related to current production processes, continual improvement of those processes, and daily support and interaction with internal and external customers. This role will support all MRB and RMA activities, drive root‑cause problem solving and improvement to prevent recurrence of customer escapes and internal defects, and lead multidisciplinary teams to track internal quality levels and create plans to achieve internal and external quality metric goals.

The QA Engineer will play a primary role in the launch of new products by ensuring compliance and readiness using Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the customer to understand and mitigate quality concerns and provide timely containment, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness reviews.
  • Read, interpret, and ensure customer requirements are followed and flowed into supplier purchase orders.
  • Organize on‑site visits and/or audits with the customer.
  • Support production by analyzing problems, recommending and implementing corrective actions, and obtaining data to create appropriate metrics and plans for continuous improvement.
  • Create, monitor, and improve production quality metrics such as first pass yield; produce charts for display, actively participate in daily GEMBA meetings, and lead appropriate improvements.
  • Lead and teach the multidisciplinary effort to perform root‑cause analysis on internal and external products with timely responses and ensure all corrective actions are validated to prevent recurrence of non‑conformances.
  • Perform activities as an internal auditor and create appropriate reports per procedures.
  • Act as a quality representative on the Engineering Change Control Board.
  • Lead the cultural transformation of quality standards throughout the production and quality organization by adhering to the Quality Management System and reinforcing core values of respect, integrity, and accountability.
  • Lead creation of part‑acceptance standards for final inspection, assembly, and receiving inspection areas, ensuring these requirements flow down to suppliers.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements Required
  • BS degree with 7 years of technical industry experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of materials: plastics, metals, elastomers, and metal finishes.
  • OEM documentation experience (drawing, specification, router, BOM, parts list, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership or program‑management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Outlook, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to planning, organizational capabilities, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to succeed within a highly matrixed organization and indirectly influence others to achieve optimum results.
  • Fostering teamwork and diversity by soliciting all facts and opinions from team members and creating a constructive, open environment for sharing data.
  • Capability to make best‑practice decisions and communicate why certain facts or opinions prevailed over others.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing processes.
  • This position requires a U.S. citizen due to visibility to projects that are Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals.
  • Travel periodically, up to 10%.
Preferred
  • Military, automotive, and/or aerospace standard experience.
  • Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Annual salary range is from $95,800.00 to $, plus benefits & incentive plan.
