1st Shift Quality Inspector Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and outgoing finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to use common inspection tools, and the ability to read drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $23.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials and products for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, 10x microscopes, and force gauges to verify product quality.
- Read and interpret product drawings, specifications, and visual work instructions.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials or products and support corrective action efforts.
- Follow company Quality Management System requirements and all safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and related documentation.
- Support quality standards for wire and cable assemblies; familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 is preferred for these types of inspection roles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to use standard inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn, accept training, and adapt quickly.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekdays and weekends, as needed.
Preferred:
- Wire inspection or wire manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620E, which is widely used in the cable and wire harness assembly industry.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems, which are commonly referenced manufacturing and aerospace quality standards.
