Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Testing Lab Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a laboratory focused on product testing, quality assurance, and compliance. This role ensures that testing procedures are executed accurately, safely, and in accordance with industry standards. The supervisor leads a team of technicians, manages lab resources, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is onsite in Irvine, CA. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- Supervise and coordinate daily lab activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with internal protocols and external regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, CLIA, CAP).
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to maintain high performance and compliance.
- Develop and implement quality control and assurance programs.
- Monitor lab safety protocols and ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies and ensure timely procurement.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
- Strong understanding of lab safety, testing methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with lab information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in a testing or analytical lab, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
