Exciting Inspection Technician development opportunity to work for a global leader dedicated to helping people see brilliantly. The largest device company in the world – with complementary businesses in Surgical and Vision Care Inspection Technician I (Contract, 18 months)- 9/80 working schedule:
- 9 hrs Mon-Thurs, 8 hr Fri, then 9 hrs Mon-Thurs again, and off every other Friday
- 7am start. So 7-4;30 on 9 hr days, 7-3:30 on 1st Fridays
Location: Irvine, CA
Contract: 18 Month with extension or conversion potential

The Inspection Technician Associate performs incoming quality inspections of surgical instrumentation components and materials to ensure they meet engineering specifications and established AQL standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, and materials for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- Identify defects, material discrepancies, and transit damage.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and order accuracy against purchasing documentation.
- Approve qualified parts for inventory stock locations while maintaining quality standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year of relevant experience in inspection or quality.
Strong English communication skills.
Skills:
Experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands‑on electromechanical testing preferred within a medical device industry.
Proficiency using CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, V-blocks, thread gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
Experience performing First Article Inspections.
