Quality Inspector

Position Summary

Working under direct supervision, level one quality Inspectors preform basic inspections tasks relating to mechanical testing in Final Inspection Area. This position calls upon a basic understanding of shop math, print reading, measuring tools, product segregation, and quality reporting. 0-1 Years

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adheres to quality processes and work instructions
• Correctly interpret work orders
• Perform Mechanical Inspection Tests (shear, tensile, spindle retention and disassembly testing)
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Participation in Round Robin and Proficiency Testing.
• Ensures tools / equipment meet standards and calibration requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• The ability to read and write English.
• The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals…
• The ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
• The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
• The ability to read and interpret work instructions and access instruction from intranet.
• Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as business needs demand

• Typically 0-1 Years of Experience
• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
