Biostatistics Internship, Summer

Position: Biostatistics Internship, Summer 2026
The Biostatistics Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with a senior-level statistician on topics related to the design and analysis of clinical trials. The intern will learn about the general information of clinical studies in Transcatheter Heart Valve devices and how statistics is applied in these studies.

** Purpose of Assignment:*
* + Conduct simulations to explore the statistical properties of clinical study designs and analysis approaches

+ Application of new statistical methods and modeling to evaluate optimal clinical trial designs

+ Data preparation and graphical exploration of data

** Goals to be achieved:*
* 1.
Project presentation of key findings

2.
Final project report (including weekly update reports)

3.
SAS/R/Python codes for conducting the project

** What you'll need (Required):*
* + Current enrollment as a Ph.D. student at an accredited university majoring in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2026 or later

+ Ability to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (May/June 2026 - Aug 2026)

+ Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent)

+ Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.

** What else we look for (Preferred):*
* + Course work related to survival analysis.

+ Knowledge in Machine learning, AI, Data science background

+ Presentation and communication skills

+ Proficiency in R or Python
