Position Description

The Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at the University of California, Irvine is seeking one or more Professional Researchers (open rank) with expertise in human research on stress and resilience, with a particular focus on topics including (for example) precision stress management, scalable evidence-based interventions for reducing stress and enhancing resilience, multi-level/multi-method studies on the psychobiology of stress and health, multi-omic approaches to studying stress and disease risk, stress and health in women, stress and resilience in vulnerable populations, and bioinformatic and/or statistical approaches to studying these topics.

The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work independently; conduct translational studies in the lab; lead scientific article preparation, data analysis, and writing; attend regular team and project meetings; apply for grants; and develop a portfolio of highly collaborative, independently funded projects through contracts and grants.

This position is offered at up to a 100%-time appointment for one year with the potential to renew annually.
