The Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The position involves research investigation in cardiovascular and dual energy CT. Research focuses on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis. Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering are preferred.

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in medical physics, physics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field

• Strong background in CT physics
• Experience in dual energy material decomposition CT
• Background in image processing, computational modeling, or quantitative imaging.
• Strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career.
• Strong background in physics, mathematics and software or hardware development skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written format.
