Associate Scientist

We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist to support formulation development and analytical activities for biologic drug products. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong scientific background and hands on laboratory experience in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry. The selected candidate will contribute to formulation studies, laboratory operations, scientific documentation, and cross functional collaboration in a fast paced research environment.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to build experience in drug product development while supporting innovative research programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute formulation composition and drug product process development studies for sterile liquid, lyophilized, and prefilled dosage forms.
  • Prepare and manufacture formulation batches to support stability studies and preclinical research activities.
  • Author and maintain scientific documentation including standard operating procedures, technical protocols, experimental reports, and electronic laboratory notebooks in accordance with documentation standards.
  • Perform routine laboratory activities including buffer preparation and analytical testing.
  • Support laboratory operations by maintaining inventory of raw materials, packaging components, and laboratory supplies while coordinating ordering, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain laboratory equipment and contribute to laboratory organization and safety.
  • Communicate scientific progress, experimental results, and project updates through presentations, written reports, and team discussions.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or another scientific discipline.
  • Hands on laboratory experience with buffer preparation and basic analytical testing such as pH, osmolality, density, moisture content, or particle analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute laboratory experiments, analyze results, and troubleshoot using scientific reasoning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in CMC development, protein formulation, drug delivery, or analytical development.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, spectroscopy, ELISA, Karl Fischer, DLS, HIAC, or MFI.
  • Knowledge of lyophilization or drug product manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using RP HPLC, SEC, CEX, qELISA, or SPR.
