Position Overview

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) is inviting applications for Postdoctoral Scholar positions in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. These positions provide an opportunity to collaborate with leading faculty on cutting‑edge research projects.

Salary range

The salary range for this position is $66,737–$80,034. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoc Scholar Salary Scale.

Effective 10/1/26, the salary range is $71,491–$85,736. See Postdoc Scholar Salary Scale.

Position Description

Applications for Postdoctoral Scholars are being sought from doctoral (PhD, MD, or foreign equivalent) candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training for anticipated openings between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027 in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UCI.

Initial appointments are for two years; renewal is based on available support.

    Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. Jana Lipkova - Jana's Lab - AI for Pathology
  • Rose:
    Neuronal Diversity, Omics, and Imaging in Brain Development and Disease
  • Park:
    Breast cancer, epigenetics, environmental exposures, and biomarkers
  • Rahmatpanah:
    Prostate cancer disparities, Ovarian cancer, Epigenetics, Human endogenous retroviruses in cancer
  • Mkhikian:
    Glycoimmunology in health, autoimmunity, and immune senescence; glycoproteomics and cross-linking mass spectrometry
  • Shah:
    Computational Medicine
