The Climate Modelling Lab at UC Irvine is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to investigate decadal variability in Arctic and Antarctic sea ice as part of the NSF- and NERC-funded ADVIce project. The successful candidate will analyze observations and climate model large ensembles, design and run new CESM2 simulations, and collaborate with researchers at the University of Exeter, the British Antarctic Survey, and the UK Met Office.
The position is based in Irvine, California, with a preferred start date of January 2027. The appointment is for up to two years, with renewal for the second year subject to satisfactory progress and continued funding. The annual salary ranges from $69,073 to $82,836 plus benefits.
