Irvine, CA 92612 – 100% Onsite Duration: 12 Months Contract (++ possibility of extension based on performance and business needs) Pay Rate: $40.00 to $46.00

Job Summary The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of formulation and manufacturing process development for sterile liquid drug products, including solutions, emulsions, and suspensions.

Experience with various sterilization techniques for liquid drug products, such as filtration and autoclaving, is desired. The candidate should have experience with analytical measurements and characterization techniques including pH, osmolality, viscosity/rheology, turbidity, particle size, and physical appearance. Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC (UV, PDA, and RI detectors) is also desired.

Job Responsibilities Conduct laboratory experiments for development of pharmaceutical products with a focus on sterile liquid dosage forms under supervision and guidance. Conduct analytical and characterization experiments to generate scientifically sound data supporting formulation and manufacturing process development. Design and interpret experiments independently when required. Apply problem-solving and scientific skills to support development activities. Independently plan and execute lab-scale experiments related to sterile liquid formulation and manufacturing process development.

Accurately document experiments, results, and conclusions in electronic laboratory notebooks to ensure data integrity. Analyze and interpret technical data and apply statistical techniques as needed. Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation to ensure operational capability. Present and discuss experimental data and future plans during project and team meetings. Perform all work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, laboratory safety, and internal policies.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or another relevant scientific discipline with 3–5 years of relevant industry experience; OR Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or another relevant scientific discipline with 2 years of relevant industry experience. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and statistical software. Knowledge of the fundamental application of statistics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sterile liquid formulation and manufacturing process development.

Experience with sterilization techniques such as filtration and autoclaving.

Experience with analytical measurements including pH, osmolality, viscosity/rheology, turbidity, particle size, and physical appearance. Hands-on experience with HPLC and UPLC (UV, PDA, and RI detectors). Experience analyzing data and writing technical reports.
