** Position Overview*
* We are seeking an experienced
** Lab Technician
** to support adhesive testing, laboratory experiments, data generation, and technical documentation at a leading materials and adhesives organization in Irvine, California.
Working under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Engineer, the Lab Technician will perform hands-on laboratory testing, collect and analyze data, document experimental results, and support Application Engineering activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and committed to laboratory safety and 5S practices.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Perform laboratory testing of adhesives, including
** paste and film adhesive materials** .
+ Conduct routine testing using established and standardized test methods.
+ Collect, evaluate, document, and maintain accurate laboratory data.
+ Organize and perform experiments in accordance with established procedures and experimental protocols.
+ Summarize and report experimental results and project findings.
+ Generate charts, tables, and other reports using Microsoft Office.
+ Support Application Engineers with data generation and laboratory testing.
+ Maintain accurate experimental records and preserve data integrity.
+ Follow established laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
+ Maintain an organized laboratory environment using
** 5S principles** .
+ Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and other project team members.
+ Demonstrate initiative and independence while completing assigned laboratory activities.
** Qualifications*
* +
** 5+ years of relevant process or laboratory experience.*
* + Hands-on laboratory experience with strong knowledge of
** 5S practices** .
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, particularly:
+ Chemical Engineering
+ Mechanical Engineering
+ Materials Engineering
+ Chemistry or a related technical discipline
+ Experience generating routine laboratory data using standardized test methods.
+ Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols while maintaining data integrity.
+ Basic data analysis and data-summary skills.
+ Proficiency with
** Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint** .
+ Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
+ Strong commitment to laboratory safety and established procedures.
+ Ability to stand and work in a laboratory environment for most of the workday.
