Hiring for a Controller at a growing architecture and design firm based in Newport.

Role is hybrid, onsite 3-4 days a week.

Reports directly to the founder/CEO.

Salary Range: $130-$150k depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project-based accounting and financial management, including budget hours, utilization reporting, billing, WIP, AR, AP and cash flow forecast
  • Monthly close + financial reporting (including coordinating with CPA/tax partners for year end and compliance)
  • Payroll
  • Support project management, including proposal scoping, fee setup, ensuring projects structured and staffed to hit profit goals. Partner closely with PMs.
  • Some HR/administrative and people tasks including onboarding and offboarding, and mainly payroll related items
  • Improve and standardize workflows in Ajera (accounting/time/billing), create SOPs, identify bottlenecks

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
